How it works
The Majikkus are magical creatures, and most of the happenings in their lifes are closely related to magic, including their breeding habits.
There is no set time in the year for two Majikku to breed. It happens when the Denshou's* bark starts peeling, revealing Majikkards underneath. This happens once in awhile, but we haven't found what exactly causes the bark to peel.
The Denshou tree is as old in existence as the Kingdom itself. The venerable tree lives in the middle of the coniferous forest named after itself, the Denshou's Forest. It is, of course, vital that the Denshou tree receives lots of care and precautions since it's life is directly related to the existence of the Majikku. If it was to disappear, the Majikku would face complete extermination.
When the bark on the Denshou tree has peeled, the Elder's Daughters come to get the Majikkards by carefully removing them from the tree and healing it by applying some Elder's mixture to get a fast recovery for the tree.
After that they take it back to the shop where they will let the Majikkards dry, and then the kards will reveal their secrets, as drawings magically appear on them, determining what each kard can do.
When this is done, Majikkus are free to use their kards whenever they wish, but due to the Majikkards being available only once in a while, they tend to reproduce all at the same time.
Another interesting fact about the Denshou tree is the multitude of small cavities in it's body. Majikku have always been using these cavities in the tree trunk to have their babies, using it as a protection and a shelter for the cubs until they are strong enough to follow their parents around.
When two Majikku decide to have babies together, they retire in one of these cavities and seal the entrance with the Majikkards they will be using. What happens after they seal the entrance and during the pregnancy is still unknown, as nobody ever witnessed the birth of a Majikku until this day.
After a few days, the male breaks the seal open and you can hear the cry of tiny babies emerging from the tree. Babies are born without mutations, and more than often, they don't show any markings but their main color.
As soon as they are strong enough, usually after two weeks or so, the babies will leave the tree with one of their parents (in the case the parents don't have the same owner) and continue their growings, wich can take up to several weeks/months until they reach adulthood when their markings and mutations start to appear.
Sometimes the new adult will not show any sign of mutations or markings inherited by its parents. This happens when the parents didn't use the appropriate Majikkards during the sealing, thus lowering the chances to have said markings/mutations. Chances are still the cub will have at least one (or more) of its parents traits, but if you want to be sure, the Majikkarsd are your answer.
In the case both parents have the same markings/mutation, the cub is assured to have it , Majikkard or not.
Want to breed your Majikku?
First, you will need to buy some Majikkards from the Elder's Shop.
No IOU, so make sure you have the PG on hand!
Second, find a mate for your Majikku.
Check for the official Find A Mate thread, or feel free to create a thread for yourself.
Three, post the breeding form in the official Breeding Season thread.
Make sure you get all the confirmations you need in the case one of the Majikku is not yours.
